This is the week 6 edition of Team WagerMinds journey in the LVH Supercontest, the largest NFL betting contest. Using our own proprietary, predictive models, we compile an enormous amount of data, clean it up and feed it into our super computer. Then we trust and rely on the results, whether we like them or not. This week, we sure don’t as our computer has labeled 5 favorites, all favored by more than  3 points.
After a nice week 4-1 performance in the LVH SuperContest, our model tanked in week 5 with a 1-4 performance to bring us to a 13-12 SuperContest record. While we are still (barely) in the black, we are going to need to have a winning week from here on out if we want to have any hope to finish in the money.  The worst part of last week was that we  had to choose from a handful of low confidence selections (two “one brain picks,” and two “zero brain picks,”) and our 5 “Just Missed The Cut Plays” that we didn’t use for the SuperContest went 4-1.
LAST WEEK’S RESULTS:
Here’s a look how our model performed in week 4:
- 5 Brain Confidence:Â n/a (Overall: 0-1-0, 0% win percentage)
- 4 Brain Confidence: 0-1-0Â (Overall: 1-2-0, 33%Â percentage)
- 3 Brain Confidence: 0-0-0Â (Overall: 2-1-0, 66%Â percentage)
- 2 Brain Confidence: 0-0-0Â (Overall: 4-3-0, 57%Â percentage)
- 1 Brain Confidence:Â 0-2-0Â (Overall: 1-3-0, 25%Â percentage)
- 0 Brain Confidence:Â 1-1-0Â (Overall: 1-2-0, 33%Â percentage)
- Just Missed The Cut Plays:Â 4-1-0 (Overall: 12-7-1, 63%Â percentage)
Oakland Raiders at Atlanta Falcons
This is only our second “5Brain” confidence level play that we’ve seen this year, with the highest confidence we’ve seen. Our model has been bullish on the Falcons the entire season (4-1 ATS) and this game is off the charts. The SuperContest line is 8.5 and has now moved up to 10 in some locations, so play at your own risk.

Dallas Cowboys at Baltimore Ravens
Dear Joe Flacco and the Ravens,
We con’t want to choose your team as you could be the most frustrating team to bet on. Winning vs the Pats then failing to cover for two straight weeks against inferior teams. We sincerely wish our model didn’t keep choosing you, but it does and here we are. Go Ravens.
Love,
WagerMinds

New England Patriots at Seattle Seahawks
Russell Wilson hasn’t looked good over the last few games — and now the Patriots head west to play the Seahawks. This tough Seattle D will be a good matchup for the Pats who ran all over Buffalo & Denver the past few weeks. Our machine loves the Pats at and thinks the line should be up to  -5.

Kansas City Chiefs at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Last week the Chiefs somehow found a way to cover at home against the dominant Baltimore Ravens. This week Brady Quinn (6-5 ATS all time) rolls into Tampa Bay to face a stout run defense fresh off a bye. The model likes the 3-1 ATS Bucs to cover here and cover big.

Green Bay Packers at Houston Texans
On Monday the Texans had every reason to blow the struggling Jets out the water, but failed to cover for the first time this season — adding to our week 5 SuperContest misery. This week, our model has the Texans (4-1 ATS) winning, and covering, against the Green Bay Packers (1-4 ATS). Let’s hop for a better performance this week.
JUST MISSED THE CUT
While our model like the 5 above plays the most, we had the following plays that the machine leaned towards:
- Broncos: +1.5
- Lions: +4.5
- 49ers: -4.5
- Rams: +3.5
- Titans: +5.5
- Vikings: +2.5
