NFL-Media-Contest-Week-3

Week 3 in the NFL was a wild one and it included multiple successful Hail Marys, 3 overtime games and 10 underdogs that won outright. The craziness didn’t seem to benefit our expert field of media members as they managed a 44% ATS win rate in week 3.

Top performers for the week were Pro Football Weekly’s Mike Wilkening who landed his second consecutive 3-1-1 performance, UFC’s Jon Anik stepped up with another straight 3-2-0 week and ChuckOliver.net’s Drew Collins weighed in with a 3-2-0 record. Collins’s first two weeks were, well, dicey as he stumbled to a 0-8-2 start. But he rallied with a winning week and now the sky is the limit.

ESPN MMA Insider John Candido also had a winning week with a 3-2 card and Don Best’s Todd Fuhrman went 3-2-0.

Overall, our crack-staff of media members is 44.1% on the year. The media field has now surpassed the LVH Supercontest field by a percentage point.

And, of course, we offer condolences to Mike Wilkening and Rob Longley who won lost with their Packers selection.

Here are the full week 3 results:

Even the replacement refs couldn’t dethrone overall leader Mike Wilkening from the top spot. Adam Kramer and Todd Fuhrman are deadlocked for second place. And Toronto’s finest, Rob Longley, is within striking distance with a  7-7-1 record and Jon Anik has been gaining ground over the last two weeks going from 1-4-0 to 7-8-0.

You can always check out the live leaderboard here.

Good luck to all in week four, lord knows you’ll need it with these refs.
