NFL-Media-Contest-Week-1
| By | 2462 Views

We’re hosting our first ever NFL Handicapping Challenge with media members from around the country. Each player picks 5 games against the spread. Now, these seasoned sports journalists got off to a bit of a shaky start. Well, actually, that’s being generous. The first week was a train wreck. Combined, the field went 18-37.

But it wasn’t all bad. Rob Longley from the Toronto Sun started with a smooth 4-1. And three other contestants had a winning week: Bleacher Report’s Adam Kramer, Pro Football Weekly’s Mike Wilkening and reformed bookmaker Todd Fuhrman.

You can click on each player’s name below for their picks:

The current standings can be seen on our main NFL Media Leaderboard.

A few quick notes from last week’s performance:

  • The team that tripped up the majority of participants: the Buffalo Bills (of course).
  • Three contestants pulled off  an 0-5 performance, while nobody went perfect
  • The win percentage for the week was 32.7%

Here’s our guarantee: the results from week 2 will be better. Really, we guarantee it.
